1. In Hardship, I Found Welding’s Light
HelloWeld began in my tough early years. My family was poor—I scraped by on crumpled change, watching my parents struggle to get by. I kept thinking, “I need a skill to support us fast.” One day, passing an auto shop, I saw a welder turn scrap metal into solid parts in sparks. He said, “This trade feeds you; master it, and you’ll have steady work.” That simple line planted a welding seed in me.
2. No Classes? I Got My Certificate in a Work Shed
I couldn’t afford training, so I borrowed old welding books from co-workers, used a work shed corner as my practice spot, and picked up scrap steel to practice on. Days were spent doing odd jobs for gear; nights I studied parameters by a bulb—even with blisters, I didn’t stop. Fueled to “change my life,” I mastered basics in a month and got my welder’s certificate on the first try. Holding it, I thought: “Finally, a better life is possible.”
3. Welding Lifted Me Out of Poverty—And Gave Me a New Goal
With the certificate, I got a welding job right away. Starting with simple brackets, then industrial projects, my income grew: first month’s pay bought new home bulbs; third month paid my parents’ old debt; in a year, I rented a house with a balcony. I often say, “Welding pulled me out of poverty.” But seeing people like the old me—wanting to change lives with a skill but stuck—I knew: I needed a brand to help them.
4. Founding HelloWeld: My Path, Now for Many
That’s how HelloWeld started. I didn’t aim for a “high-end” business—just two things: first, affordable, beginner-friendly welders (so low-income people don’t overspend for good tools); second, simple tutorials from my self-taught experience, covering safety to certification, like a master teaching an apprentice. I tell my team: “Welding changed my life. Now HelloWeld will help more people grab their own ‘better life.’”
